when movement causes molecules to shift from their original locations (and then bounce back), sound waves are created. when bodies move through the space, they create sound waves and disturb the frequencies coming out of the speakers. the frequencies rotate around the room at the rate of their associated planets. these changes are gradual and hard to detect, just like

- movement of sounds and sounds of bodily interaction hard to discern

audience walks in, sees red light illuminating a single speaker on the floor. Walking toward the light, the air becomes warmer. the outward flow of warm light and heat conjures an image of the sun, and implicates audience members and the surrounding speakers as orbital objects. the lightbulb also refers to the sun in its perceived permanence but inevitable death due to overheating, exploding, or burning out. any audience member who has changed a lightbulb before or worried about household appliances spontaneous combustion can make this connection. There are eight speakers and eight planets. Audience members with this knowledge and observation can connect the frequencies from the speakers to our solar system's planets. When two frequencies overlap, there is moment of louder noise, implying change, a buildup, a crossover.
the red light also performs a role of incubation and (futile?) preservation. the bulb above points to the sun speaker as vulnerable and worth protecting, more than the other speakers which are in peripheral darkness. divine mother, life force, overlap of birth and death. the lamp is heating a speaker below, which emits an ambiguous noise (the sun frequency). a speaker does not need to be heated in order to work. technology is not biological. this is technology preserving technology. the apocalypses, when human beings become obsolete. systems work without us, but exist because we impose them. sympathy for the object. sympathy for the sun.

durational: bulb heats the room more and more over time, bulb will burn out or explode over time, sun frequency becomes quieter over billions of years, frequencies orbit the room according to the speed of their assigned planet.

Audience members have their own relationship to the sun, a moment alone with our source of life. they can become the size of a planet and experience the sun next to them.

the conversation with the sun is not invisible. audience members are intentional about interacting with the sun objects.

concept focuses on our involuntary interaction with the planets and unnoticeable changes, the inevitable death of the universe and our creations conceding us
