i am attracted to street signs and the way they can be interpreted as relating to sex and gender. claude cahun also used street sign motifs in their work.
on the bus it says TOUCH HERE but sometimes the last E is rubbed off
at the 1st street train station the sign is bent and can read TRANS ONLY
the pedestrian symbol is gender neutral and represents an inbetween state
the NEW signs that are always knocked over read as MEN
the voice inside the train is female (interior, womb, warmth, confinement). the voice at the platform is male (exterior, protection, danger, freedom).
