this is a clip from the video i am creating for our first critique. this clip shows a hand emerge from the flesh and push the hand of the sleeping body to the side. here and in the rest of this scene, i am thinking about parts of the self that come alive while others are inactive, and when the sleeping body awakens there will be multiple implied states of awareness. one state hesitantly emerges and tries to leave the rest of the self behind. in this scene, the child/cathexis tries not to disturb the sleeping mother/ego as it attempts to escape the confines of her body.
